An interrogation of a Drama Queen!

2Pixies is known for being big time curious and therefor they have arrested the hostess of the Champagne Lounge in Euro Club for an interrogation. Hear all about what’s on the program, the secrets behind the dress and all about nothing in our quest for the utterly spectacular show-truth!

Let the interrogation interview begin.

First of all you need to know. You have the right to have a glamorous lawyer. All you say will be used and abused in the best possible way.

State your full name?

DQ: My name is DQ - Drama Queen

Your age?

DQ: My age – You bitch!

That remark will be noted! Occupation please?

DQ: Singer and entertainer.

What are you warring and why?

DQ: I'm warring a smashing blue dress, because I like blue. Do you like it?

Yes, but we are the ones asking questions - not you!
Tell us about this "champagne lounge". What time does it open and close?

DQ: It opens most nights at ten o'clock and closes at four.

And why do you want us to come to this champagne lounge?

DQ: Because it's the best place to be in Euroland. And because I'm there to host it and there will be a lot of fun stuff happening like sing-along and quizzing. A LOT!

Alright! Are you sure there are no hidden agendas?

DQ: hehe… Noooo! None that I know of!?

Hmmm… Will there be champagne?

DQ: We have cava. Is that okay for you?

(…)

Will there be bodyguards?

DQ: Yes of cause, lots of them, what do you think!

Will there be go-go dancers?

DQ: If anyone in the audience feels like being wild go-go dancers, then yes there will!

Meaning, that you secretly hope so!  Will there be singing?

DQ: There will be a lot of singing.

Who will sing?

DQ: ME - of cause! And of cause people from the audience will sing. Everybody can sing, 2Pixies can sing if you want to.

(…)

So we have heard that you are good friends with Tina Turner and Birthe Kjær. Is that correct?

DQ: Oh yeah! We are very good friends you know! And I sing their songs.

Will they stop by at some point?

DQ: Maybe. You'll never know.

Alright. You said there will be quizzing.

DQ: Yes there will be quizzing and there will be good prizes too.

Okay, what can WE win?

DQ: You can win… well I will let that be a surprise.

Okay, so what are the answers for these quizzes? Where do we find the answers?

DQ: Ehh… If you now anything about Eurovision, especially this year you will know the answers. But I wont tell you.

Okay thank you for being interrogated, we will be back with more questions during the last days of Eurovision. You can go now!

DQ: And thank you for letting me go.

A Eurovision Cake to the winner

Aarzemnieki visited Dessertdragens kageværksted in Copenhagen and met the owner Nanna, who was generous to share a few baking tips (does Aarzemnieki how to bake by now?). We'd like to thank Nanna and Dessertdragen for taking the time to meet us all.

Later Jöran and Nanna delivered a Eurovision cake to the lucky winner of the Eurovision cake competition that Dessertdragens kageværksted and LTV had arranged. The cake was a special Eurovision Song Contest cake with the logo handpainted on by Nanna. She explained to us that she always uses ingredients according to the season, and for the Eurovision cake she had used rhubarb as the main ingredient. The winner, Jacob Lentz, was very surprised to see Jöran and Nanna showing up at his work place - and of course it was a musical delivery!

How to use the Latvian paper fan

Have you noticed the very nice and very useful Latvian paper fans? Want to know how to use them? Watch here!

Aarzemnieki visiting La Glace

Aarzemnieki visited Copenhagen's oldest bakery La Glace in the centre of Copenhagen on Saturday May 3rd. It was a big party of music and good times! The group surprised Marianne from La Glace with a very special song. Watch the video below to find out which one it was.

A big thanks to La Glace for the kind invitation and the yummy cakes!

Aarzemnieki walked the Eurovision Fan Mile

Yesterday was a busy day for Team Cake To Bake. They had arranged two visits to two of the most famous bakeries in Copenhagen, and afterwards they went for a stroll on the fan mile on Copenhagen's famous shopping street.

Even though that it was in the middle of the rush hour Aarzemnieki got the opportunity to meet the Danes first hand. For every stop they made they made sure to take their time to meet each and everyone properly, to share thoughts and of course to take pictures.

Come to the Conditori La Glace and singalong with Aarzemnieki today

Today at precisely 15:00 the group will arrive at La Glaces address Skoubogade 3, 1158 Copenhagen. Here they will sing one or two songs for the pastry eating audience.

Then they will make some stops on the fan mile and sing for the Saturday shoppers.

And to wrap up the cake of today, Jöran Steinhauer will visit DessertDragen on Skt. Peder Stræde and go with the store manager to the lucky winner of their cake competition.

Happy cake day to everybody and come and Join Us!

2nd rehearsal day for Aarzemnieki

This morning Aarzemnieki left their hotel very early to attend their 2nd rehearsal at the B&W Arena.

Today they opened the arena for the press and that gave the group someone to perform to, which added a bit more BADABING to their stage presence.

Aarzemnieki doing their thing
Total harmony on stage
And then a bow to the audience

After rehearsals it's time for the press conference.

During the short press conference they answered questions like which cakes they liked, what to drink while eating cake and Katrīna Dimanta was asked how it was for her to be in a band with three boys, when she is used to work closely together with her sisters home in Latvia. She answered that she has a big family with four brothers, so she don't think about it, she likes to work with both boys and girls.

Katrina and the boys!
Tonight Aarzemnieki will perform at Euro Fan Cafe round 21:00.
See you there!
