Aarzemnieki says thank you all for voting and for the love

Even though Aarzemnieki didn't qualify to the final last night, they had a great time on stage. After the show they said they really felt the love and support from the audience in the B&W Arena and they was very happy with their performance. We definitely think so as well! Their performance was 300% musical power, with authentic flavour and no extra sugar added, and they filled their cake with love and shared it with Europe.

Family members of the group and many other contestants (like Conchita and Hersi) came to congratulate the band for an amazing performance. The groups said they have no regrets about the outcome, they send their love to all their competitors that went trough to Saturday's Grand Final, and want to thank all those who voted for them. They feel every competing country gave it their best last night in the love for the music, and that's what it's all about. Now, they will enjoy the rest of their stay in Copenhagen and cheer for all of their competing friends on Saturday! Go Team Cake, we are proud of you!

2nd rehearsal day for Aarzemnieki

This morning Aarzemnieki left their hotel very early to attend their 2nd rehearsal at the B&W Arena.

Today they opened the arena for the press and that gave the group someone to perform to, which added a bit more BADABING to their stage presence.

Total harmony on stage
And then a bow to the audience

After rehearsals it's time for the press conference.

During the short press conference they answered questions like which cakes they liked, what to drink while eating cake and Katrīna Dimanta was asked how it was for her to be in a band with three boys, when she is used to work closely together with her sisters home in Latvia. She answered that she has a big family with four brothers, so she don't think about it, she likes to work with both boys and girls.

Katrina and the boys!
Tonight Aarzemnieki will perform at Euro Fan Cafe round 21:00.
See you there!

Last venue before it becomes the real venue

Tomorrow this big, grey but yet festive box of surprises will become THE box to be in if you're in Copenhagen. (This box is not to be confused with "Boxen" in Herning. That's really a totally utterly completely different box you don't want to be at tomorrow) Because this box is going to be the center piece of all boxes, when it's going to welcome the first ESC participants for their first rehearsal in the light of the staged box. Can't wait! Today there's not a lot to see, but from tomorrow we'll all be like fat cats in a box.

Look out for song number 2 in semi-final 1

Latvia will be performing as song number 2 in the first semi-final! The running order for the semi-finals was decided a few days ago, and Latvia will be out as number 2. Last year PeR was the first song in their semi-final, so once again we hope for a great first-out-first-impressions-last performance from Latvia! Go Team Cake To Bake!

What else is new?

During the Head Of Delegation meeting in Copenhagen the stage in the B&W Arena was shown to all the HODs and apparently it's going to be a big stage. Not as big as in 2009 in Moscow but big. The construction of the B&W Arena is an exciting project, which we of course have high expectations for. In fact, we can't wait to get our small feet out in the arena! Hopefully we'll get some more glimpses of the stage before May.
