PeR special guests @ Amager Bio / Copenhagen Tour part 2

After visiting the Latvian ambassador we moved towards Amager Bio, where PeR was invited as special guests at the Armenian Eurovision party. On our way through the city we experienced the discovery of the day, and we have to give that a mention!

Since we are Københavnere we bike everywhere, since that is by far the easiest way to get around in the city. However, a few more stairs and trains than usual made us witness the true Latvian gentlemen spirit. The PeR guys actually carried our bikes down the stairs at Nørreport train station! No-one ever did that before, so this felt as a very special treat. And suddenly Queen's Bicycle Race was the theme song of the day! We can tell you that the beatboxing pro Edmunds got a really nice falsetto, too. And yup, for each day we love the PeR guys more and more!

Anyway, the Copenhagen tour ended at Amager Bio, where Dorians had invited to a fantastic concert. Really talented guys! PeR gave an excellent performance and showed once again how fascinating the mix of genres can be, if it is treated by the right artists. Besides PeR also Finland and Georgia joined the party, and we think the Armenians can be proud of arranging this really special night.

Ready for Latvia's press conference

We are now installed in the press centre, and waiting for Latvia's press conference to start. We will be sure to write more about that later. More posts about Copenhagen coming up!

Music in the garden / Copenhagen Tour part 1

Yesterday the Latvian delegation went to Latvia's Embassy in Copenhagen to greet the ambassador and give a small, acoustic performance. They had the rest of the band with them - and for this occasion they call them "The Eurovisioners". It was a lovely day and very elegant environment to listen to PeR perform. Here are some shots from the visit.

A suPeR night with San Marino & Estonia

Tonight the Latvian delegation had to split up in two teams.
PeR went to a Meet & Greet with the Estonian delegation and they had a great evening in their company. But when it's Eurovision time, it's more than often that you have to be at two parties at the same time. Therefore we split up and some of us, 2pixies included, went to EuroClub, to join the San Marino party.

Valentina Monetta gave a concert with jazzy tunes, including jazz-vamped versions of her Eurovision songs. She had a band with her on stage, and showed another side of her musical talent. We love a good live performance, and can only say it was a great event. Thank you for the music, Valentina Monetta! Oh! We also met another Giant. Yep, Giants seem to be the hit this year - take a look at our Instagram photos...

Now of to bed. Tomorrow is going to be an exciting new day for PeR and the delegation. PeR is going on a small Copenhagen trip - here we goooo!

Amager Bio is the hot spot

Copenhagen is joining the Eurovision festivities! Friday 10th of May will be one of the big nights in the city of Copenhagen, since several Eurovision performers are coming to give a performance during Dorians concert, among those are the Latvian PeR guys.

Dorians are representing Armenia this year with "Lonely Planet". This is the official remix of the song - check it out, it's fresh!



The song is written by the British rock musician and guitarist Tony Lommi from the band Black Sabbath. Yep, it's ol' school rockers!



Besides PeR also Krista Siegfrids from Finland, Odi & Sophie from Georgia and Diana Garipova from Russia will be performing. A real good combo, if you ask us.
