2nd rehearsal day for Aarzemnieki

This morning Aarzemnieki left their hotel very early to attend their 2nd rehearsal at the B&W Arena.

Today they opened the arena for the press and that gave the group someone to perform to, which added a bit more BADABING to their stage presence.

After rehearsals it's time for the press conference.

During the short press conference they answered questions like which cakes they liked, what to drink while eating cake and Katrīna Dimanta was asked how it was for her to be in a band with three boys, when she is used to work closely together with her sisters home in Latvia. She answered that she has a big family with four brothers, so she don't think about it, she likes to work with both boys and girls.

Tonight Aarzemnieki will perform at Euro Fan Cafe round 21:00.
See you there!

Special guest star: The Cajon from 4Sound

We want to present this very special instrument, who joined the group for a few days! It's beautiful and it has amazing sound. May we present: The Cajon!

We want to give a special thanks to 4Sound in Copenhagen for lending out this cajon to Aarzemnieki! 4Sound is the best shop for musicians to turn to, when they need instruments, studio and performance gear and anything in between. Lots to choose from and lots of knowledgeable staff to help pick what's just right for you.

Raitis used the cajon from 4Sound at the group's performance at EuroClub Wednesday night and for the Latvian reception on Thursday. Doesn't it look great in action? Well, we think so - and to say the least, Raitis knew how to handle this box with excellence!

Once again: THANK YOU SO MUCH 4SOUND FOR LENDING AARZEMNIEKI THIS BEAUTIFUL CAJON!

Big musical cake day @ Tante T

Thursday it was time for the Latvian reception at the best and prettiest tea lounge in Copenhagen: Tante T in Museum of Copenhagen. We were so lucky that Tante T was willing to lend us their beautiful Garden Lounge and sponsor tea, coffee and cakes for all the invited guests. The day before Tante T had just opened their outside terrace, which the guests had the pleasure of enjoying. Additionally, Museum of Copenhagen gave everyone free admission to the museum as well.

The doors opened at 14 and 30 minutes later the lounge was packed. Jöran, Katrina, Raitis and Guntis were looking sharp as ever, and warmly welcomed all the guests. Besides the special invited international press delegates, also the Eurovision participants from Estonia, Lithuania, Albania and Armenia also guested the reception.

Aarzemnieki had brought their instruments for some acoustic surprises, and entertained with several tunes before they opened up for a jam session on the stage. Hersi from Albania jumped into an improvised version of "Vivo Per Lei", and well - brave girl!

Tante T had been busy and baked a table of lovely cakes for us! All home made with quality ingredients. As a tea lounge the place is famous for their many kinds of tea, and we have to say one of our favourites is the Cool Mint flavour!

The 50 first guests were even given a small goodie bag from Tante T - so we must say that Tante T were as generous as ever, and it was in every way thinkable the perfect location for this event!

The musical entertainment included a sing-a-long performance of "Paldies Latinam". 2Pixies was struggling with the words, since their Latvian is not that great - yet.

Later also Aram MP3 from Armenia was ready for some cakey jamming fun with the band.

We had a wonderful day and want to give a HUGE thanks to store manager uncle Anders and the lovely aunties at Tante T, Museum of Copenhagen, LTV Latvijas Televīzija and of course to Aarzemnieki for a great afternoon!

EuroClub was Awesome-nieki

Wicked Wednesday at EuroClub turned into total Awesome-niekiness when the Latvian group took center stage, and performed for the accredited press and fans. We got some video clips for you here.

Of course they sang their Eurovision entry "Cake To Bake". Raitis on cajon (thanks to 4Sound here in Copenhagen for lending it to us!), Guntis on sax, Jöran strummed his guitar and Katrina rocked the violin!

Aarzemnieki also performed the classic Eurovision winner "Love Shine A Light". The audience was amazing - great night!

Time for the concert!

Flag fun!
Great night @ EuroClub

2Pixies were silent as a kitten with woollen mittens...

While Aazemnieki recorded their backings for the interval act in the final, 2Pixies were attending and were allowed to take some pictures - BUT WERE VERY VERY SILENT! At least we hope so!

We can't bring the sound to you, but here are the pictures.

Even though that we can't bring you a teaser from the studio, we are allowed to bring you this nice jam session the group made while waiting for the bus.
