A suPeR night with San Marino & Estonia

Tonight the Latvian delegation had to split up in two teams.
PeR went to a Meet & Greet with the Estonian delegation and they had a great evening in their company. But when it's Eurovision time, it's more than often that you have to be at two parties at the same time. Therefore we split up and some of us, 2pixies included, went to EuroClub, to join the San Marino party.

Valentina Monetta gave a concert with jazzy tunes, including jazz-vamped versions of her Eurovision songs. She had a band with her on stage, and showed another side of her musical talent. We love a good live performance, and can only say it was a great event. Thank you for the music, Valentina Monetta! Oh! We also met another Giant. Yep, Giants seem to be the hit this year - take a look at our Instagram photos...

Now of to bed. Tomorrow is going to be an exciting new day for PeR and the delegation. PeR is going on a small Copenhagen trip - here we goooo!

Amager Bio is the hot spot

Copenhagen is joining the Eurovision festivities! Friday 10th of May will be one of the big nights in the city of Copenhagen, since several Eurovision performers are coming to give a performance during Dorians concert, among those are the Latvian PeR guys.

Dorians are representing Armenia this year with "Lonely Planet". This is the official remix of the song - check it out, it's fresh!



The song is written by the British rock musician and guitarist Tony Lommi from the band Black Sabbath. Yep, it's ol' school rockers!



Besides PeR also Krista Siegfrids from Finland, Odi & Sophie from Georgia and Diana Garipova from Russia will be performing. A real good combo, if you ask us.
It's all happening at Amager Bio, doors open @ 20.00. Be there!

First impressions last

PeR's first rehearsal is in the box - and what a box! PeR is singing in the second semi-final on May 16, but had their first stage rehearsal today. It was a closed one and not open to the press, but showed for the press via big screen @ Euroclub. They had great energy on stage, looked and sounded great!

Their performance is kept similar to the one from the national pre-selection - but had it polished it up with help from Swedish choreographer Adrienne Åbjörn.

Look what we found! Who's Pixie-Per?

A PeR-fect arrival

Today we finally put on our pixie hats and left one country for another. Now PeR has arrived in Malmö, and so have the 2pixies.

We had a meeting with the delegation and met the PeR guys for the first time. And we can only say one thing: they have the swag in the bag! We are positive that this will be a great adventure and we are so excited and we're not gonna hide it... ba-da-bum!

Otherwise it's been a quite eventful day on this planet we call Eurovision. For instance we learned on one of the ESC live chats, that one chatter has 2 cats while another chatter didn't have any pets only siblings. We love lurking, and will definitely do it again.

Eurovision week is approaching - next week! - and we think it's time to get started! Warm up with PeR!

Who's PeR you might ask?

Besides being a name (Per) in Denmark, and in other Scandinavian countries, it is also the actual name of the group we will be supporting and promoting in Malmö, since we will be working for LTV, Latvijas Televīzija. Please Explain the Rhythm aka PeR is a beatboxing and vocal band fronted by Edmunds and Ralph - and we'll be sure to get you in the PeR-fect mood for Eurovision! We'll be blogging, tweeting and instagramming + we'll bring out a few surprises. If not a lot.
